Job Description:

As a Cook at Desi Pakwan, you will work closely with our culinary team to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and the timely preparation of our delicious dishes. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation and cooking of various Indian Hakka cuisine dishes.
• Following recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
• Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff to coordinate timing and workflow.
• Monitoring food stock levels and informing the Chef of any ingredient needs.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations while handling food and kitchen equipment.
• Assisting in the plating and presentation of dishes.
• Contributing to the overall kitchen cleanliness and maintenance.

Requirements:

To be considered for the Cook position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Prior experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary setting.
• Knowledge of Indian cuisine, especially Indian Hakka cuisine, is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and guidelines accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per restaurant needs.
