Full Time/ Part Time
As a Chef at Desi Pakwan, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing traditional Indian Hakka cuisine recipes with authenticity and creativity.
- Planning and organizing the daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented attractively.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and overseeing stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff, including providing guidance on techniques, recipes, and safety procedures.
- Monitoring food quality and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with the management team to develop and refine menu offerings.
- Managing kitchen costs and budgeting effectively to maximize profitability.
- Proven experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar culinary environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Hakka cuisine and a strong passion for exploring new flavors.
- Excellent culinary skills and the ability to create authentic dishes from scratch.
- Strong leadership and management abilities to lead a kitchen team effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per restaurant needs.
