Position: Catering Manager
Full Time/ Part Time
Desi Pakwan, an authentic Indian Hakka cuisine restaurant, is seeking a skilled and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering department and provide exceptional culinary experiences to our clients. As a Catering Manager at Desi Pakwan, you will be responsible for overseeing the catering operations, managing client relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of catered events. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing catering strategies to attract new clients and generate revenue growth.
- Building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential customers.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their specific event needs, including menu selection, logistics, and budget.
- Creating customized catering proposals and contracts, ensuring clear communication and mutual agreement on event details.
- Coordinating with the culinary team to plan menus, ensuring adherence to quality standards and dietary requirements.
- Managing all aspects of event planning and execution, including staffing, equipment rental, and venue coordination.
- Conducting site visits and assessments to ensure event spaces meet client expectations and operational requirements.
- Overseeing event setup, ensuring proper food presentation, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the event.
- Providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback from clients.
- Managing financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
To be considered for the Catering Manager position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or catering industry.
- Strong knowledge of catering operations, including menu planning, event logistics, and food presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively with internal teams.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities to oversee multiple events simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly Indian Hakka cuisine, is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using catering software and event management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in high-stress situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field is preferred.
